My passion is to help people to overcome their anger, anxiety, sleep issues, marital or life issues, and depression. I do what I do because I love to see the result…happy, healthy, productive people. When you are feeling good you have energy and ambition. Your true self…your inner light, shines through. You have the ability to make the world a better place when you are feeling good.
Everyone needs a little help sometimes to get through the tough times.
A Counsellor can help.
Hypnotherapy has been around for thousands of years…for a reason, and is one of the techniques I am comfortable with using to help people.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC#7974) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), a Level II Certified Anger Management Specialist with National Anger Management Association (NAMA), and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with the Professional Board of Hypnotherapy. I help Adults, either one-on-one or as Couples, with Anger Management and a wide variety of other Life Concerns and Crises. With counselling alone, or with the addition of Hypnotherapy, almost any issue can be overcome.
My clients return because I am non-judgmental and compassionate. Confidentiality is the cornerstone of my practice: The session is private, documents are stored securely, and clients feel safe and heard in the sessions. I specialize in Court-Ordered Anger Management (or just personal concerns with anger) Life Crises of any type (and there are many!) Insomnia, Anxiety Issues, Depression, and Life Review for older clients. Hypnotherapy may be used with almost any issue, and is especially helpful with quitting smoking, weight reduction, controlling pain, and realizing one’s personal potential.
Having worked with Family Services and Catholic Social Services previously, I have gained experience with many life concerns: Separation/Divorce, Parenting, Relationship Issues (romantic, parent, siblings, friendships, work, etc.) and Court-Ordered Counselling for Anger.
The Life Review Video is a phenomenal legacy for older adults to give to younger members of their family.
As a little background info: I served in the Military as an Administrator for 15 years, got married and raised three children, re-educated as a Mental Health Counsellor, and now operate a successful Private Practice.
I am happily married with three young adult sons, and enjoy nature, gardening, landscaping, baking/cooking, organizing, reading, writing, and am somewhat artistic, especially with home design. My counselling expertise combines all of my past and present adventures and the abilities learned alongside.
If you are interested in visually recording the story of your life, or have a loved one who would like to, please see the Life Review Video page.
